On May 22, tvN unveiled behind-the-scenes and script-reading photos for Seocho-dong, confirming Lee Jong-suk‘s return to drama just as breakup rumors with IU were dismissed. The legal series is set to premiere in July 2025.
Penned by real-life lawyer Lee Seung-hyun and directed by Park Seung-woo (Flower of Evil, Kairos), Seocho-dong follows five lawyers navigating the chaotic landscape of Seoul’s legal district. The female lead, Moon Ga-young, playing rookie lawyer Kang Hee-ji, impressed with her expressive delivery and emotional nuance, perfectly embodying a passionate newcomer eager to prove herself. Her chemistry with Lee sparked interest, particularly as fans continue to speculate about his real-life romance with IU.

The cast also includes,
- Kang Yoo-seok as Jo Chang-won, an enthusiastic chatterbox who lightens tense scenes with humor.
- Ryu Hye-young as Bae Moon-jung, a foodie and natural leader whose wit and grace bring balance to the group.
- Lim Sung-jae as Ha Sang-gi, a low-profile lawyer dealing with everyday burnout.
Together, the five actors form a quirky legal team nicknamed the “Lawvengers,” offering both poignant reflections and laugh-out-loud moments.

Set against a backdrop of glowing office lights and high-stakes client meetings, Seocho-dong promises an authentic look into the demanding lives of young professionals. With themes of resilience, camaraderie, and moral dilemmas, the series is expected to resonate with viewers across generations.
